TSAA Professional Development Forecast

The TSAA PD Committee has presented two breakfast meetings this year that were very well attended.    Steven Brinder is a wonderful comedian who is also a teacher and has a repotoire of funny stories that involve "his" kids....but of course they are our kids and it was wonderful to see that the people in the audience related to his stories and some were laughing so hard, they were crying.  Everyone agreed that this light-hearted look at our world of children was just what was needed to get them through the long hard winter.  We will continue to search out new topics for future events.

As our membership ranges from retirees to those newly promoted, we try to incorporate enough variety to accomodate all interests and needs.   While our dues cover the various activities at no extra cost to our members, the cost of speakers, locations and food are continually rising and it is a challenge to keep everything in budget.   

This year's conference is "Transforming Times" and the sub-committees are busy putting together an interesting programme for you.  The conference is being held in Niagara Falls this year.  We will have a full program of workshops, plus displays from vendors covering photography to dance instruction.  Members should watch your inbox for information in mid February.  

We will continue to strive to bring you interesting and informative speakers so that you are motivated to attend - giving you an opportunity to socialize with your colleagues as well as learn.
